Stop motion-the plan!

Elements of my video will include stop motion. For instance, the video player and the microphone will be animated. I can either make this look vaguely 'realistic' or deliberately unrealistic. The latter is favorable. The main requirement is that there is a moving mouth on the video player (the tape entry flap) and possibly a mouth on the microphone. A boxing ring and perhaps a white room will also be included in the animation as locations.

Video killed The Radio Star is of course exceptionally cheesy, and so I have taken it upon myself to research just what cheese is! 

The definition of cheese is a song that has tried too hard, is unsuitable and unauthentic. Essentially, a cheesy song is corny and perhaps a cliché. Cheesy songs/videos usually create a response from the viewer and are instantly recognizable as cheese! It could be said that cheese is like marmite-either you love it or you hate it! Other than my chosen song, a song that could be considered cheesy (on the far right of the scale!) is The Spice Girls- Wannabe. My video will be cheesy mainly because of the singing video player which will be included. It is cheesy due to the fact that it is unrealistic and perhaps may come across as 'trying too hard'!

'Wannabe' is cheesy because of

Rick Astely's Never Gonna Give You Up is cheesy due to the ridiculous dancing and the silly lyrics!

An update...

So, the project is well underway now and I think I have decided on my song! Survey responses are pouring in thick and fast; there will be a post analysing the results soon.
